A chief of staff
in your WhatsApp.
On your own machine.

It reads your chats twice a day and sends one digest: what it closed on its own, what it put on your calendar, and what's waiting for you — and why. And you can simply text it.

The shamash — the candle that lights all the others, then stands aside.

Install

  1. Install Claude Code and sign in with a Claude subscription (Pro or Max).
  2. Open it in an empty folder and paste this:
Clone https://github.com/RSTjordan/shamash into this folder, then read install/RUNBOOK.md and carry it out stage by stage. Stop and ask me wherever the runbook says to stop. Don't skip the risk gate.

That's it. The installer agent does the rest: builds, asks you the right questions, and finishes with a real WhatsApp message waiting for your reply. About 40 minutes; ~15 of them need you. Windows only for now · Full docs on GitHub

What it actually does

Not a chatbot. A personal assistant that knows your people, works while you're not looking, and knows what it's allowed to do on its own — because you wrote that down for it.

📋

A digest, twice a day

What got done, what's waiting for you, what's on the calendar, which emails deserve your attention. One message, not twenty.

💬

Commands in chat

Text it on WhatsApp — summarize a group you've neglected, find a file, check the calendar, reply to someone.

🔀

Talk while it works

Remembered something mid-task? A follow-up message merges into the running job — like with a person, no "wait until it finishes".

🗂️

Long-running projects

Give it something multi-day and a scheduled engine keeps pushing it forward in bounded shifts, reporting after each one.

📅

Calendar

Books the meetings people ask you for — after checking you're free. Turns "I'll send it tomorrow" into a real reminder.

Anything risky stops and asks you on WhatsApp. React 👍 and it continues. You're always in control.

Three questions to ask first

  • What does it cost? The Claude subscription you already have: works on Pro, best on Max. No extra payment to anyone — including us. There is no "us".
  • How long does install take? About 40 minutes. The agent does most of it alone; you spend about 15 minutes of attention — a short interview about your people, a QR scan, and a risk gate.
  • What are the risks? Real and not hidden: the install gives WhatsApp messages a path onto your computer, and the connection uses an unofficial client (low ban risk, not zero). Read RISKS.md before installing — the installer will stop and make sure you did anyway.
